PD Measurements

PD or Pupillary Distance Measurement

What is PD or Pupillary Distance measurement ?

Pupillary Distance is the distance between the pupils of the eyes, center to center, in millimetres. A PD can be obtained from your optician on request.

Why do you require my PD ?

It helps us to establish the proper lens shape and alignment of your prescription correction to your line of vision. Without an accurate PD measurement, correcting vision can be difficult since lenses need to be aligned over the center of your pupil for proper clarity.

What's the best way to measure my PD ?

The best way to obtain an accurate PD ( for stronger prescriptions ) is to visit your optician and ask them ( nicely ) to measure it for you.

Alternatively, ( for normal to weaker prescriptions ) you can do it at home with a help of another person and by following " How to measure your PD" instructions online on various youtube videos.

How do I email my PD?

PD is a simple double digit measurement number ( in mm ).

You can email to hello@joshfano.co.uk with your details and order number. Please make sure to do it asap to fasten the process.
