How do I email my eye test prescription / PD?
There are number of ways, you can send it to us-
- Take a clear picture on your mobile phone
- Scan a copy to your computer ( traditional )
- Or use scanner apps
You can then email it to firstname.lastname@example.org.
If required, we'll contact you for further information such as obtaining PD etc.
What is PD or Pupillary Distance measurement?
Pupillary Distance is the distance between the pupils of the eyes, center to center, in millimetres. A PD can be obtained from your optician on request.
Why do you require my PD?
It helps us to establish the proper lens shape and alignment of your prescription correction to your line of vision. Without an accurate PD measurement, correcting vision can be difficult since lenses need to be aligned over the center of your pupil for proper clarity.
What's the best way to measure my PD?
The best way to obtain an accurate PD ( for strong prescriptions ) is to visit your optician and ask them ( nicely ) to measure it for you.
Alternatively, ( for common prescriptions ) you can do measure it yourself at home with help of another person by following " How to measure your PD" instructions online on various youtube videos. Simple!
